Nexum Research has
extensive expertise in engine and fuel performance,
and spray and combustion processes. In addition, we provide solutions in process control (including machine vision) in both research and
production environments.
History
Nexum Research Corporation began operations in 1980 as Thermotech Engineering, a commercial contract laboratory performing engine research and testing. After eleven years of steadily growing research in engines and automotive fuels for commercial and governmental clients, it was incorporated as Nexum Research Corporation. The new name reflected the expansion into a broader range of research, including initiatives in the areas of spray diagnostics, advanced materials technology and safety testing technology.
Facilities
Our laboratory is well equipped to
conduct a wide variety of experimental programs. Automotive test facilities
include an engine dynamometer, instrumentation and ultra-high speed data acquisition capabilities and
in-cylinder pressure measurement and cycle analysis capabilities. In addition,
our laboratories provide electronics, spray analysis and software design capability and machining facilities to support our small-scale manufacturing and prototype requirements.
